Last week was so-called break week at the uni (the teachers didn't seem to have heard about it, though).
We didn't let that bother us this weekend, so yesterday we headed out to Jyväskylä, central Finland, for a day. I had never been there, but the Boyfriend's sister and her husband have been inviting us over to visit for over a year now. About time we went, then!
It was an awesome, sunny day, and I didn't even mind missing the train and having to wait two hours for the next one. Spring really has arrived! :)
After arriving in Jyväskylä we had lunch and then drove around sightseeing, took a stroll downtown, and visited the Alvar Aalto -museum. Aalto was an architect well-known and appreciated for his groundbreaking designs both in Finland and abroad. Google him, if you're interested; I'm not really an expert.
All in all, it was a lovely day! :) Afterwards I was completely knackered and slept almost all the way home (would've slept all the way, but I had to walk home from the station). The best part of being away is coming home, when there's someone there waiting for you. Wilma seemed pretty happy to see us! ;)
Hi guys! You won't believe how happy I am to be back blogging. I actually strained my neck, which caused a lot of pain in my neck (obviously) and my back. Sitting at a computer felt like hell, to be honest.
Now that the pain has finally subsided, I'm ready to begin again. I started a new crocheting project, I'm catching up on my school work, and I finally get to write out my silly little ramblings here as well. :)
Oh, and one last thing: spring is finally here! It's been quite warm (like +5 degrees Celsius) and sunny a couple of days this week. The weather really has an effect on my mood. The winters are pretty gloomy for me, I have to admit. Especially winters like this last one: it wasn't freezing and sunny and snowy, which I like, but quite the opposite. It's incredibly exciting to see the sun for the first time in a couple of months!
